George and Carol Wells of Pendleton and Dale and Patty Hansen of Battleground, Wash., are announcing the upcoming wedding of their children, Jake Wells of Kennewick, Wash., and Cassandra Hansen of Battleground, Wash.

Cassandra is a 2005 graduate of Battleground High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington State University in Vancouver, Wash., in 2009. She is employed with the Southwest Washington Agency on Aging and Disabilities in Vancouver.

Jake graduated from Pendleton High School in 2001. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management in 2009 from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash.. He works for Fluor Federal Services in Richland, Wash.

The couple will exchange vows Aug. 7 in Ariel, Wash.
