Janet Pedersen and John Sobotta were high school sweethearts in Hermiston 30 years ago. They graduated from Hermiston High School and eventually went their separate ways. Seven children and three grandchildren later they found each other again, and celebrated their marriage Sept. 10, 2010, in the back  yard of Johns parents, Jerry and Kay Sobotta, in Hermiston. Ashley Simpson performed the ceremony.

The bridal party was made up of matron of honor Ashley Seibel and best man Kyle Sobotta, both of Hermiston. Janets mother, Carole Hamilton of Hermiston, also was in attendance. A reception immediately followed the ceremony.

After a honeymoon trip to the Oregon Coast, the Sobottas will reside in Hermiston.
