For three years, a Hermiston man has brought music and antics, skits and vaudeville-style talent to the stage at the Hermiston Conference Center, and this month, John Wambeke and friends will continue the tradition.

Described as a nostalgic old-style variety dinner show, “Cabin Fever” will include live performances from theater to jazz, comedy to poetry. Slated talent includes: Frazer Wambeke’s Jazz Trio; Oregon State fiddle champion Eric Jepsen; Cowboy poet Marti Campbell; and the unique stylings of Emily Nelson, Pat Ward, Katherine Callaham and Nathan Hurty, as well as others.

Wambeke and Ward will also reprise the theatrics of spinster friends “Thelma and Eunice.”

On Jan. 14 and 15, Sharon’s Country Gourmet Catering (the second half of Sharon’s Sweet Treats) will provide a Dutch oven dinner of buffalo stew and homemade bread. Tickets to the dinner performances are $28 and must be purchased before Jan. 11.

Tickets to the matinee showing on Jan. 16 are $8 and can be purchased at the door.
